Sandra & Shawn - September 25, 2010

Sandra and Shawn were married on Saturday, September 25th and it was one of the best weddings of the year that I was able to shoot with Catharine Morris Photography. They met on a cruise during Spring Break, both from completely different states, Shawn from Rochester, NY and Sandra from NH. The ceremony was at a church in a wonderful little neighborhood right outside of Portsmouth, NH and the leaves were just beginning to turn. We took the formal pictures at a park overlooking to ocean and even though it was a very hot day, everyone had so much fun. At the reception, almost everyone was on their feet dancing the whole time and when the DJ stopped the music at the end of the evening, everyone refused to leave and formed a circle around Sandra and Shawn and began to sing A cappella. It was such a fun day and congratulations to Sandra and Shawn.

Angela & Matt - September 17, 2010

Angela and Matt were married on the Cape on Friday, September 17, at Captain Linnell House. I love this venue... I had photographed Christine & Phil's wedding there earlier in the year, both with Catharine Morris Photography. The outside setting has a gazebo and tons of trees covering the ceremony site and it's just so beautiful. Everyone in the wedding party was wearing J.Crew and the decorations were very simple and really well done. Angela works for a publishing company, Matt is a scallop fisherman and for their theme, Angela decided to combine their two professions. She had decorations made of scallop shells and each tables theme at the reception was a different novel based on the sea and/or fisherman. It was incredibly impressive and just really amazing to be a part of. And to top it all off, Angela and Matt were an awesome couple, congratulations guys!!

Cars & Apples.

First off, I bought myself a new car. A 2010 Mazda 3, black with black interior. I love it. It has the brand new car smell, blue tooth for my phone, an iPod hook up and so many more awesome things that my '95 Acura Integra didn't have. When I drove it off the lot it only had 9 miles on it. Although it was sad to say goodbye to my Acura, my first car that I had for 8 years, it was about time to get a new one. Now I'm not afraid my car will fall apart every time I get into it.

In other news, I went apple picking yesterday with Jessie. I bought a ton of apples, some hot cider and cold cider, an apple cider donut, and two pumpkins. It was so nice out... and have I mentioned I love fall?

I ate/tried three different varieties while we were picking them off the trees.

A tiny apple!

Many of the trees only had apples at the very top.

There are about 25 apples in my bag. YUM!

I LOVE FALL.

I love, love, love, love, loveeeee fall. It's the best. October is my favorite month. The leaves start to change, I like to carve pumpkins, and apple cider is delish. The leaves really haven't begun to change in Boston yet, but I was up in southern NH yesterday for work and it is gorgeous up there. These images aren't really photoshopped at all. It is that colorful. Once I left work, the sun was setting and peaking through the trees, only hitting some areas in the landscape. AHHH! I can't handle it, it's so pretty. Now all I need to do is go apple picking and pumpkin picking.

Birthday Weekend.

I am 25. I had a relaxing weekend, test drove some cars (only 4 more days with my acura!), and drank some wine.

Michelle and I went to this cooking event at the Museum of Science. It wasn't really that amazing, but for those of you who watch Top Chef, that is Tiffani with the red hair! The runner up of her season.

Creating scenery for the glass hummingbird hanging in our kitchen. I constantly think it's a bug or something when I walk by and I suggest we create a scene around it. We conveniently had these prints. Now if only Nic could hold them up forever.

Party people. The best part of the night was that every single person was dancing. I loved it, had so much fun, thanks everyone for coming out!

Sunday, I made beef stew, and it was absolutely delicious!
