Lynne + Scott | A Day in the Life | Arnold Arboretum + Tatte Bakery

I have long expressed my curiosity for the people and the world around me. That coupled with my background in photojournalism led me to delve deeply into both portrait work at a studio, and my more candid, natural work of weddings. While I love both styles of photography, I have been looking for a way to marry (pun intended) the two.

I expressed this desire to fellow photographer, Lynne Reznick of Lynne Reznick Photography, who has become a great colleague and friend since we met in early 2017. When we carpooled to a wedding together a few months ago, we talked about my thoughts and future plans for my business. She graciously suggested a session with her and her husband. Lynne and Scott have been married for 10 years, and it had been just as long since they documented their love and relationship together, as well as the hobbies they share together, something they both deeply cherish about their life as a couple. On top of their personal lives, they each were in need of updated professional headshots. So, I created a 'Day-in-the-Life' portrait and documentary session for them. While this idea is in it's infant stages, I cannot wait to see where it could take me.

Lynne and Scott booked me for an extended morning session beginning at sunrise (sorry Scott, the light's just too good to pass up)! We met at Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain, MA, for some bird-watching and reading, two activities the pair love to engage in with one another. After a lovely time strolling through the arboretum, which we basically had to ourselves, we made our way to Tatte Bakery in Brookline, MA where Lynne and Scott enjoyed each others company over pastries and coffee, a typical morning for these soulmates! We wrapped up our time together with a few headshots, and I couldn't have asked for a better starting point for this new session offering of mine. I absolutely loved my time with Lynne and Scott, and I am so happy we were able to convince Scott that getting up before the sun was WORTH IT!

Is this type of session something you're interested in? Or do you know someone who would loved to be documented while pursuing their passion, whether that be a chef, artist or your family on an outing? Get at me, I would love to chat!

Lily | 9 Days New

Kate and Dan were married three years ago at The Villa, and this past summer they welcomed a beautiful baby girl. Little Miss Lily surprised mom and dad by arriving 12 days early and Kate and Dan were over the moon with excitement. Lily just turned three months old, but I was lucky enough to meet and photograph her at just 9 days new! She was calm by quite curious for nearly the entire session, only closing her eyes to snooze for a few pictures.

What a precious little peanut Lily is, and Kate and Dan are the happiest and sweetest new parents. Although Kate and Dan's first baby, their pup Tanner, was skeptical of me around his new sister, we were still able to get him in a few frames!

It was so wonderful to be invited into Kate and Dan's home and meet their tiny bundle of joy, I absolutely love catching up with my clients throughout the years. Congratulations to the new family of four, I cannot wait to see what is in store for you all!
