Brad & Elyse - July 1, 2011

Brad & Elyse were married on the Cape on July 1, 2011 and I photographed them along with Catharine Morris Photography. This was the first wedding where we were asked to photograph the rehearsal dinner and it was such a great experience! We were able to meet the whole family before the actual wedding day, and it took a bit of stress off the situation for everyone. It was nice to become familiar with the wedding party, and family before the chaos of the big day started. 

Brad & Elyse met at a bar in California and when she was approached by Brad, she didn't want to give him the time of day! Obviously though, it all worked out in the end. Brad was a producer for Jersey Shore and Bridezillas, and Elyse worked with the show America's Got Talent. They incorporated videos throughout their wedding, starting with the proposal which is on YouTube! There was a video at the rehearsal dinner, as well as a surprise video for all their friends and family right before they were announced into their reception. Even I got teary-eyed. Now Brad is working for a new show and they are starting their life just south of Boston. Brad & Elyse both loved being in the front of the camera and I had such a great time capturing their special day. I wish them the best of luck in the future!

My Pop Pop.

Last week I went to visit my grandparents in Mechanicsburg, PA. I ate a ton of food, took my grandparents out to breakfast at their favorite diner, helped Pop Pop build a shelf for his paints, celebrated a birthday, enjoyed a meal with cousins, and watched TV with my Pop Pop until the late hours of the night. My grandfather is battling cancer and it meant everything for me to go and spend two days with him and my grandmother. I love living in Boston, but when it comes to family, living so far away can be tough to deal with. I wish I had taken more pictures while I was there, but here are the ones that I really enjoy. I took that picture of my grandparents on the fireplace June 19, 2010 at my cousin Laura's wedding. My grandmother loves it. On the right, the paper above the doorway says, "May Christ Bless This Home"

This is the warehouse where they used to produce pizza, but now they make pretzel rolls that go to schools and grocery stores. It is still owned by my family.

I love being in Mechanisburg. I've been going since before I can remember. One of my best memories is catching fireflies in Grandma & PopPop's backyard and saving them in a jar.
