My Pop Pop.

Last week I went to visit my grandparents in Mechanicsburg, PA. I ate a ton of food, took my grandparents out to breakfast at their favorite diner, helped Pop Pop build a shelf for his paints, celebrated a birthday, enjoyed a meal with cousins, and watched TV with my Pop Pop until the late hours of the night. My grandfather is battling cancer and it meant everything for me to go and spend two days with him and my grandmother. I love living in Boston, but when it comes to family, living so far away can be tough to deal with. I wish I had taken more pictures while I was there, but here are the ones that I really enjoy. (Click on images to make them larger)

Early morning flight out of Logan Airport.

Pop Pop's paint job, as well as the mailbox below. He's been painting neighbors mailboxes too :).

My grandparents used to own a pizza parlor, followed by a catering company.

Pop Pop's paint shelf.

He's also painted the rocks going to his pond in the backyard.

I took that picture of my grandparents on the fireplace June 19, 2010 at my cousin Laura's wedding. My grandmother loves it. On the right, the paper above the doorway says, "May Christ Bless This Home"

I love him.

This is the warehouse where they used to produce pizza, but now they make pretzel rolls that go to schools and grocery stores. It is still owned by my family.

I love being in Mechanisburg. I've been going since before I can remember. One of my best memories is catching fireflies in Grandma & PopPop's backyard and saving them in a jar.
