Snorkeling & some poolside sitting with Topanga.

Yesterday we went on a snorkeling excursion to the island of Molokini. It's a crescent shaped island formed from a volcanic crater and there is a huge reef at the base of it. There were a ton of awesome looking fish and sea urchin, I wish I could have taken some underwater pictures. After that we cruised around the boat and went to a spot in the ocean where there were some turtles hanging out. They were pretty big, maybe 2.5 feet in length? I don't know, I'm terrible at estimating. It was pretty cool though...

That tiny little island out there to the right is Molokini.

Waiting on the beach for our boat to arrive, that is another part of Maui in the distance.

Our boat for the morning.

The water is unbelievable.

Getting closer and closer to Molokini.

This is the backside of Molokini. It is a bird sanctuary. You are not allowed to touch it, climb it, or go on it.

Inside the crescent of Molokini. When we arrived there were about 4 other boats of snorkelers there. It was so cool.

Snack break from snorkeling. One of those snorkelers out there is my dad.

We started sailing cause the wind picked up. It was so relaxing.

Then they had an open bar... this is a hawaiian microbrew - Kona's Red Ale.

A little girl was feeding these fish in a little pond in the hotel and they were going crazy and jumping over each other to get the food. You could hear their giant mouths sucking the rocks haha.

So many hungry fish.

This is our hotel, the Grand Wailea. This is just a section of it actually, it's huge and this pool is the adult pool. Thank god for an adult pool cause all the other pools have a million children... and I love children, but they are loud. Also, Topanga from Boy Meets World was sitting 15 feet away from me. So that was cool. Except that my dad and sister started singing the Boy Meets World theme song - which was so embarrassing, I almost walked away. I like seeing celebrities, but I don't care to talk to them or anything.

Inside Mama's Fish House, where we ate dinner. This picture doesn't do it justice, this restaurant was so cool. Apparently the best place to watch the sunset on the island, and their food was awesome. The ceiling of the restaurant is made of sails and boat parts. There have been many famous people there too. Some that were on the wall were from Lost. Hugo, Chin and the bearded guy who was an Other - I forget his name.

Maui Sunset.

Bread with Asparagus Fennel soup. Delicious.

Macadamia nut crusted crab cakes. Also awesome.

This is their signature dish that I ordered. Macadamia nut crusted MahiMahi stuffed with crab, Maui onions, and lobster topped with a piece of a lobster tail, served with ginger rice, corn and asparagus.

Dessert - French pressed 100% Kona Coffee - the most bitter that they sold... so good.

Some traditional coconut thing that you finish a meal with in Hawaii - It was very weird, like coconut tofu, served cold.

And my mom had wiener dogs on her pants. Strange? Yes.
