I know I've expressed this before, but I absolutely love when couples find a way to personalize their big day. Not only does it create a unique experience for friends and family, but for the bride and groom, it holds more meaning. Catherine and George's wedding was no exception, my clients are what I like to call, traditional non-traditionalists. Even though they planned from a distance, everything came together beautifully, it felt like the Estate was their actual home for the evening.
Guests were greeted with ice cold drinks and jars of bubbles and ushered to their seats facing the gazebo, anxiously awaiting the arrival of Catherine and her father at the top of the aisle. Straying from tradition, Catherine had her sister and three of her closest friends standing at the altar, two on either side of her and George. George's brother and best man, Heinz, officiated the ceremony. During cocktail hour, we took advantage of the setting sun and gorgeous grounds of the estate for some portraits.
Catherine, George and 50 of their closest friends and family shared an intimate dinner in the ballroom of the mansion. The table numbers were golden statues of various breeds of dogs, a nod to the bride, a successful veterinarian. Following dinner everyone enjoyed cocktails, conversation and lots of dancing. Catherine and George, congratulations!
