In late October, before the evenings were near freezing, I met Flora, Efrain and Koji, their adorable little pup, at their home in Dorchester. The pair recently purchased their first home together in an old mill building that was the former home to the Baker Chocolate Factory in the 1780's. We spent the afternoon admiring the old chocolate factory's historic architecture and watching the vintage T trains pass by.
Efrain was in the wedding party of Christine and Nathan's wedding at the Aquarium this past July, and Flora was a guest. I was thrilled that they reached out, and I have enjoyed getting to know them. The couple met years ago at a party for a mutual friend and were engaged on their four year anniversary. I'm looking forward to getting to know them better over the next year, and to document their wedding at the Milton-Hoosic Club in the fall.
Flora and Efrain, thank you for showing me around your neighborhood and inviting me into your home, I hope you had as much fun as I did, even though Koji didn't know what to think of me. I can't wait for next September!
