Katie + Jesse | Boston Museum of Science Wedding

I cannot believe it's already mid-July! This year has been so busy, yet so incredible. My 2017 season began with Katie and Jesse's big day on May 20th at the Museum of Science. After spending time together in November grabbing drinks and then photographing their green line engagement in April, I could not wait for their wedding day to finally arrive.

The pair shared an emotional first look along the river right outside Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge, before walking to the museum for their nuptials. Katie and Jesse's close friend officiated the heartfelt ceremony, complete with a tree planting ceremony. Once their vows were sealed with a kiss, cocktails and craft beers were enjoyed as the sun set over the Charles River. Dare I say, the day was perfect! They were even blessed with one of the sunniest days in the middle of weeks of rain.

What I loved most about their wedding were all the sentimental details spread throughout. When I arrived at Hotel Marlowe, not only was Katie's wedding gown hanging in the window, it was accompanied by her mother's, grandmother's and great-grandmother's wedding gowns! Both her grandmother and great-grandmother's gowns were handmade by the brides themselves. The center stone in Katie's engagement ring was from her grandmother's engagement ring, and in Katie's hair was her great-grandmother's embellished comb. Carefully wrapped around her bouquet was a necklace filled with her father's ashes. Jesse had some special details of his own too: from his shirt embroidered with their wedding date, his tie clip engraved with the title of their first dance song, to his wedding band, which was made with wood from a World War II ship!

I could not be more thrilled to share such a special wedding. Katie and Jesse, your day was nothing short of incredible and I'm honored I was able to document the beginning of the rest of your days together!
