Niki + Nick | Union Bluff Meeting House Wedding in York, ME

On a sunny Saturday in late April, I packed up my cameras and headed north to Union Bluff Meeting House in York, ME. It was finally Niki and Nick's big day, an event I had been anticipating for quite a while. You might remember Niki and Nick from their engagement session last fall at the famous Nubble Lighthouse, followed by a sunset stroll on Short Sands Beach with their two german shepherds, Odin and Frigga.

Once I walked into the bridal suite, I was greeted by Niki surrounded by clouds of hairspray, all of her best gals and with the biggest smile plastered to her face. After all the planning and organizing, her big day was finally here and Niki was more than ready to marry her best friend.

After a heartfelt first look and bridal party portraits overlooking Short Sands Beach where we had frolicked with the pups just seven months earlier, it was time for the ceremony. Guests arrived at the ceremony to one of the couple's close friends and officiant strumming his guitar, and eventually the bridal party made their way down the aisle. The couple chose to whisper their vows to one another's ear, before exchanging the rings. Their vows were sealed with a kiss and it was time to get the party started... and what a party it was, with their friends from Scarlett Drive rockin' the dance floor all night long.

Niki and Nick, what a perfect day! Even Odin and Frigga made an appearance, albeit in life-sized cardboard cut-out form, but they were still part of the celebration thanks to your wonderful friends! Thank you for inviting me along on such an amazing ride, and I wish the two of you nothing but the best for the future.
