In addition to hearing the stories of how my couples met, I love hearing their proposal stories. Julia always wanted a private proposal, which Chase knew, and he planned it out so he'd propose on the top of a mountain while hiking during the peak of autumn. Not knowing the plan, Julia kept inviting friends to join, which ended up working perfectly because they were able to document such a special occasion! And of course, now they have a great story to tell...
As I mentioned, Tumbledown Farms, where Julia and Chase exchanged vows and hosted their reception is a fairly new venue. Because it's so new, it's a blank canvas really allowing couples to personalize it any way they'd like which is such a wonderful concept. Julia and Chase took great care and paid attention to the details with the DIY aspects of their wedding, and it looked incredible! Chase, who happens to be quite the craftsman, built a bar complete with taps, a photo booth wall, corn hole boards, giant lawn jenga, lights and created other decorative aspects that made the day even more special than it already was.
I truly enjoyed every moment of my day with Julia and Chase, and there were plenty of happy tears all day long -- mostly from Chase. During the ceremony, both Julia and Chase exchanged handwritten vows, and then guests enjoyed beers, lawn games and dancing to the music of Groovin' You, a band made up of students and alumni of Berklee College of Music.
Congratulations Julia and Chase, and thank you for letting me be a part of your day!
