The 2015 season has begun and it's been bitterly cold and full of snow. If you aren't from Boston, you may not be aware, but we've officially had 101.8 inches of snow this year! It's been incredible, jaw-dropping and in my opinion, a bit frustrating. I've become a bit stir crazy! Last weekend it was so nice to finally get out of the house and photograph a couple of engagement sessions. Both sessions happened to be in the North End, which is where I reside. I've been proud to live in this historic neighborhood for four years, and it's such a beautiful place to live... you could say picture perfect! Ha!
As I mentioned earlier, I'm sick of the snow, but I'm happy it started snowing right before I planned to meet with Laurie and Louis. I had a blast bundling up on a chilly day, navigating the snowy streets with them, and creating some amazing pictures. Laurie and Louis call the North End home and a few years back, they met on Fleet Street during the Fisherman's Feast, one of the neighborhoods' many celebrated summer festivals. Louis actually plays a large role in the planning, coordinating and production of the Feast, and the North End is also where he spent most of his childhood. It was an honor to wander the streets and photograph their love exactly where it all began!
Laurie and Louis are celebrating their marriage in September, and they plan to hold the ceremony at the church I'm staring at through my window right now! The reception will follow the ceremony at the wonderful Boston Harbor Hotel. I'm extremely honored to be invited to document their wedding day, and from what I've heard so far, it's going to be pretty incredible! Keep an eye out for their full engagement session coming later this year, when it's a bit warmer out, as well as their wedding where they will finally say, "I do"!
