On Saturday, June 24th I arrived at Sarah's parents house in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, where she was getting ready to marry Andrew, the love of her life. You might remember the couple from their cold and rainy engagement session this past April. Unlike their engagement, just as I walked in the door on their wedding day, the rainclouds parted and the sun began to shine!
Sarah grew up in West Roxbury alongside her three brothers, their pup and many cousins, some of whom were so close with her that they were basically her siblings. The house was full of excitement as hair and make-up team put on the final touches and Sarah slipped into her wedding gown.
The ceremony took place at Holy Name Church, just down the street from Sarah’s parent’s home, and where her family grew up going to church. After arriving in a gorgeous old Rolls Royce, Sarah looked stunning as she and her father walked down the aisle toward Andrew.

One of my favorite aspects of Sarah and Andrew’s wedding was the amount of family tradition they included, from taking a few portraits of the newlyweds in the church entryway to match her parent's wedding portrait, to gathering all of Sarah’s cousins, aunts and uncles for the time-honored family portrait on the steps leading up to the sanctuary. Not to mention, one of Sarah’s brothers who is in the Navy was able to come home for the celebration, and to top it off, he designed and crafted Andrew’s wedding band!
Following the ceremony, Sarah, Andrew and their guests traveled to the Boston Marriott Newton to enjoy cocktail hour, followed by dinner and copious amounts of dancing. It was quite the celebration, all 200+ friends and family were ecstatic for the new Mr. and Mrs.
Sarah and Andrew, thank you for inviting me along for the festivities. I’m honored you chose me to capture the gorgeousness that was your wedding.
